What is Rediffmail Pro?
Rediffmail Pro is the Value-added Email Service for individuals.
With Rediffmail Pro, you can get an email address (such as me@myfamilyname.com). You can easily set up multiple email addresses for your family(such as mywife@myfamilyname.com or myfather@familyname.com).
With Rediffmail Pro, you can access your email Account from your own PC as well as from any internet-enabled PC. All you have to do is log into your Account with your Username and Password.

Do I need to install any special software (like Outlook Express, Eudora etc) to run Rediffmail Pro?
No, no software or special hardware is necessary to use Rediffmail Pro. Rediffmail Pro is a web based Email Service so all you need is a PC with an Internet connection.
To use your Rediffmail Pro Account, all you need to do is visit http://www.rediffmailpro.com and login with your Username and Password.

How do I send and receive mails from my Rediffmail Pro Account?
We activate your Rediffmail Pro Account as soon as we receive your payment.
Once your Account is activated, we will send your Rediffmail Pro Username and Password to your current email address. You can visit http://www.rediffmailpro.com and log in with your Username and Password.
Once you are logged into your Rediffmail Pro Account, you can send and receive mails just like you would from any other email account.

How many email addresses can I get?
With Rediffmail Pro you get 5 email addresses as part of the basic package, for $ 21.99 per year.
However, you can buy as many email addresses as you need. You can purchase addresses in increments of 5. You pay $ 10 per year for every 5 additional email addresses.

How do I use the 5 email Addresses I get for $ 21.99?
With Rediffmail Pro you get 5 email addresses as part of the basic package, for $ 21.99 per year.
At the time of placing your order, you specify the first of these 5 email addresses (e.g. me@myfamilyname.com).
You can use the balance 4 email addresses by allocating them to your family members.
To allocate email addresses, you need to first log into your Rediffmail Pro Account.
Visit http://www.rediffmailpro.com and enter your Username and Password.
After you have logged in, click on 'Preferences' link and then click on 'Allocate/ Delete Email Addresses'.

I created an email address for one of my family members; now I want to change it to another family member, can I change the email address?
Yes, you can. Except for the first of your 5 email addresses, you can delete and re-allocate any email address created by you.
If the email address you specified when you placed your order for Rediffmail Pro was me@myfamilyname.com, that email address cannot be deleted. However, you can always delete and re-allocate the balance 4 email addresses.
So, if you have one email address that is naresh@swarup.com and you now want to change this email address, all you need to do is to delete naresh@swarup.com.
After deleting it, you can re-allocate this email address by creating an email address like vivek@swarup.com.

How much storage space do I get? Can I buy more storage space?
The basic Rediffmail Pro package offers 30 MB of storage space (as part of the $ 21.99 per year).
This 30 MB is divided between the 5 email addresses you can allocate. Each individual address gets 6 MB of space.
You can purchase additional storage at any point of time. You can buy additional storage in multiples of 5 MB (5 MB, 10 MB, 15 MB and so on). For every 5 MB, you pay only $ 2 per year.

With Rediffmail Pro you can send attachments that are upto 5MB is size.
