Create a new account
- To create a new Rediff Shopping Account, click on the Sign up link found on the top right corner of Rediff Shopping homepage
- Fill in your personal details along with the email ID you wish to use as your Rediff Shopping ID
- You can use your Rediffmail ID or use any other email ID from any other email service provider to register with us and place an order through Rediff Shopping
- The email ID you provide will become your Rediff Shopping ID

- Click on Order Status on the top right corner of Rediff Shopping homepage
- Select Edit Account details option and click on continue button
- Re-enter the details i.e., Billing Address, Pin Code etc. that you wish to change and follow instructions

- In case you need to make any changes in your billing address while in the process of placing your order, click on Step 2: Address tab found at the top of the page and make the necessary changes.
- Please Note: No changes can be made in the shipping address once the order is placed.

- If your shopping email ID is lost / forgotten, we are unable to retrieve the same. You are requested to register as a new shopper and keep your ID and password safe for future shopping.

- Enter the email address you used while creating your account
- Click on forgot password? found just below the Go button
- You will need to give your username and click on please continue
- You will then need to give your alternate email ID or answer the hint question
- Once your identity is confirmed, your password will be sent to you on your alternate email address

Steps to place your first order:
- For new users: You need to create a Rediff Shopping ID by signing up on Rediff Shopping homepage. You can use your Rediffmail ID or use any other email ID from other email service providers to register with us and place an order through Rediff Shopping
- For existing users : Click on Sign in found on the top of Rediff Shopping homepage
- Browse and find products you would like to buy
- Add the products to your shopping cart
- Proceed to check out
- Sign in with your Rediffmail shopping ID ( if you haven't already)
- Add or update your shipping address
- Provide payment details
- Review and submit your order
- Check your order status

Search for Products
- To search for a product of your choice, just enter the name of the product or category in the search text box present on the top of Rediff Shopping Homepage and click on Search.
- The page that will follow will give you the desired results along with a choice to sort in ascending or descending order as per the price range.
Browse products by category
- On Rediff Shopping homepage, you can find all shopping categories listed below the search text box.
- Just click on View All Categories link at the far right corner of these listed categories and explore the products of your choice.
Find a specific product
- You can type the name of the specific product on the Search text box or browse through specific categories to which the product must belong to find the specific product.
Find a branded product
- To search for a branded product of your choice, just enter the name of the product and brand or category and brand in the search text box present on the top of Rediff Shopping Homepage and click on Search.
- The page that will follow will give you the desired results along with a choice to sort in ascending or descending order as per the price range.

- All products provided by various vendors on the site are displayed with the item description relating to measurements, weight, features etc. provided by the vendor and the shoppers are requested to view the details and place an order accordingly.

Order status terms
There are various statuses that determine the stage of the order. The status as would be visible for your order is as below:
Order Registration > Order Approval > Order Dispatch > Order Delivery
- Registered - You need to follow 3 easy steps to place your order. Step 1: Sign in to your shopping account; Step 2: Update shipping and/ or delivery address; Step 3: Complete your payment details. On successful registration of your order with us, you will see the order details (Order number) on the very next page
- Approved - Time taken for order approval depends on the mode of payment. E.g. Credit card or debit card orders are approved instantly while cheque / DD orders are approved only after the receipt of the payment i.e post cheque clearance.
- Credit card/ Debit card/ Net banking - Order gets approved once the payment is realized against your order number, till then the order status shown would be .Awaiting bank approval.
- Cheque/DD - Order gets approved once your payment is realized against your order number post clearance of cheque/ DD received by us. You can opt for arranging for cheque pick up. The order status here will be .Awaiting Cheque/DD.
- COD - For orders chosen under cash on delivery option, certain situations require a confirmation of the order from the shopper. This is done by calling, so please confirm your order on call. Post your confirmation; your order will be approved. Until then the order status will read .COD confirmation required.
- Declined - The payment has not been cleared by the bank and the order will not be processed further
- Cancelled - Post registering an order, the shopper requests for order cancellation and once the order is cancelled, order status will read as .cancelled.
- Dispatched - Order is dispatched by the vendor on shipping address provided by you. You can check your email for more details of the dispatch details to track your order
- Delivered - Your order is delivered on the shipping address provided by you.
At any given point, if an order is in any of the above status, the same is communicated to the shopper via email and SMS. You can also Track Your Order by sending an SMS, Track <order number=""> to 57333

How do I know about my courier status?
The courier status is sent via email and SMS. There are various stages to the position of the consignment. The status as would be visible is as below:
- Pending - The product is still not dispatched by the vendor and will be handed over to courier within the mentioned lead-time of delivery.
- Dispatched - The consignment has been handed over to the courier service by vendor.
- In Transit - The consignment is on route to the delivery destination.
- Delivered - The consignment is delivered and accepted with a signature or company stamp.
- Returned to Origin - Delivery had been attempted by the vendor, however due to reasons mentioned below; the consignment is returned back to the vendor.

- In case of you receiving a defective product by the seller, you must drop in a mail at shopsupport@rediff.co.in within 48 hours from the time of delivery of your product, so we can help you resolve the problem either by arranging for replacement or refund by the seller.
- You will need to provide your name, email ID, telephone number or mobile number and order ID for registering your complaint.
- You will need to return the product in its original packaging within 7 days of registering your complaint.

What should I do to avail warranty service for my order?
- Certain products are covered under manufacturer's warranty and other under seller's warranty

- To avail warranty, you have to contact manufacturer or the seller as stated in product description with the product invoice within the warranty period which is timed from the time of delivery of the product.

About Rediff.com Gift Voucher
How do I redeem a Rediff.com Gift Voucher?
- A Rediff Gift Voucher is to be redeemed online on Rediff Shopping only.
- The voucher is to be used as a mode of payment at the time of making a purchase.
- The gift code is to be inserted in the box provided at the payment option page.
- The system shall update with the balance on the voucher
- The voucher needs to be redeemed before its expiry date.
- If the voucher is expired, the amount is forfeited and cannot be regenerated.
What if my Rediff.com Gift Voucher amount is more / less than the order value?
- If the gift voucher amount is more than the order value, then the balance amount is carried forward in the voucher.
- The balance needs to be redeemed before the expiry of the voucher.
- If the gift voucher amount is less than the order value, then the balance amount is to be paid via any other prepaid mode of payment.
- The available alternate prepaid modes of payment are credit cards, debit card, netbanking and cheques.
What if my order placed via Rediff.com gift voucher is refunded, how do I get the money back?
- If an order is refunded, the value is reversed to the gift voucher.
- The voucher may be redeemed again for a new purchase.
- If an order is placed via gift voucher and partly another prepaid mode, the value is first refunded to the prepaid mode and balance to the gift voucher.

How to avail EMI scheme?
- EMI means Easy Monthly Installment is a scheme through which you can choose to pay the value of the order in three equal parts.
- This scheme is available only on ICICI Bank and Citibank credit cards.
- Your credit card would be charged for the order value and the same will be payable by you in 3 equal installments via 3 credit card billing statements
- No processing charges or interest charges applied on the payment made by EMI
- Post-dated cheques are not accepted

Reasons for pending order approval
There may be 2 reasons for your order not being approved despite receiving the cheque:
- Error in the cheque details . Cheque may be drawn in a wrong name, not crossed, not signed, no order number mentioned and/or the value does not match with the order amount
- (OR) Cheque is still not cleared. The order may be pending for approval if the amount is still not cleared form your bank

Payment procedure for Gifting within / outside India
- If you are placing the order from India, you are required to make the payment via credit card, cheque, demand draft or net banking payment options. Gifting is not available for COD shopping transaction.
- If you are placing an order from outside India, you will be charged with the dollar equivalent of the Rupee price mentioned on the site

How do I add, view, update the message to the order that I want to be delivered as a gift?
- In order to send your product as a gift, you are requested to choose 'Send as a gift on a particular date' and enter or update the message and delivery date therein.
- These details will not be viewable in your account, however it will be captured by our system and our enabling partner will be able to view the same and deliver your order on the requested date.

I cannot complete the order as the system is not accepting my address / pin code?
- When the system does not accept the address / pin code that is being entered by you, it means it does not fall under the serviceable list of our logistic partners.
- Our logistics attempt to deliver across all cities, except for certain areas which are not serviceable. The system status tells you if the area is serviced or not. Incase your address/pincode is not accepted- please change the delivery address to another one.

Can I send an anonymous gift?
- For safety reasons and to avoid refusal to accept the gift or orders which may further lead to financial complications such as returning the money etc, we ensure that the sender's name is always mentioned on every package. Hence, we do not accept anonymous gift orders.

Return & Refund Policy
- If you wish to change, modify or cancel your order, it can be done provided the product has not yet been shipped to you by the seller. To find out the shipping status, drop in a mail at shopsupport@rediff.co.in or simply log on to shopping.rediff.com. You will need to provide your name, email and order ID for registering your request.
- In the rare case of you receiving a defective, damaged, or a not-as-described product by the seller
You must call or drop in a mail within 2 days from delivery of your product so we can help resolve the problem either by arranging for replacement or refund by the seller.
To register your complaint, you need to provide your name, email ID, land line or mobile number and order ID.
You will need to return the unused product along with its original packaging with all the items included with the product within 7 days of registering your complaint.
- The following products shall not be eligible for return:
Flowers, chocolates, cakes, mithai, dry fruits, vegetables, food items, perishable items, lingerie, or innerwear. We advise you not to accept delivery of such products that are damaged or not-as-described by the seller. In case of you receiving spoiled edible products you must call or drop in a mail within 2 days on receipt of your product so we can help resolve the problem. Products that do not apply to any warranty and/or return policy will be made specific in the product details section.
- For all products cancelled and/or returned, you will be given a credit for the same amount you have already paid. A refund is processed based on the mode of payment. Credit card refunds are done back to the credit card itself and will feature in the following monthly billing statement. Net banking refunds are done to the bank account you made the payment from. For Cash on delivery, Cheques and Demand Drafts, refunds are done in the form of pay orders, which will be delivered to the billing address.

How are refunds processed?
- Once your refund complaint is processed the customer care team will inform you by email
- A refund is processed based on the mode of payment.
- If payment is done using Credit card then the amount is refunded to the credit card itself and will feature in the following monthly billing statement.
- If the payment is done using Net banking as a payment then the amount is refunded to the bank account.
- If payment is done using either Cash on delivery, Cheques and Demand drafts, then the amount is refunded in the form of pay orders, which will be delivered to the billing address.
